Stuffed Mushrooms


The above is stuffed mushrooms, prepared but uncooked! Oops once again, forgot to take an after picture. In my defense, we were in a mad rush to get things prepared and packaged to take to my brother's house for the Christmas Eve party. Anyways stuffed mushrooms are a very simple, and popular appetizer for any party!

Ingredients:

Note: the amount depends on how many you are making, so take your best guess!

  • white button mushrooms
  • Italian sausage (I used hot since the fam likes a lil kick!)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • bread crumbs (fresh or packaged)
  • olive oil
Directions:
Saute the Italian sausage until browned and break into very small pieces.

Meanwhile rinse the mushrooms and core them, i.e. take out the steam and clear out the inside so there is space to pack the filling.

In a medium bowl, pour a few cups of dry breadcrumbs, add the cooked sausage, a little Parmesan cheese and mix.

Scoop some filling into each mushroom cup and bake at 400 for about 25 minutes.
