A blueberry almond smoothie is a perfect way to use that bag of frozen blueberries and a great way to get your recommended daily fruit intake. The addition of almond milk, instead of regular milk or yogurt, makes this an even healthier option for breakfast. A great meal rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
- blueberries (3/4 cup, frozen)
- ice (1 cup)
- almond milk (1 to 2 cups)
- honey (optional)
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for a minute. Add more milk if you like it smoother rather than chunky.
If you'd like it sweet, add some honey!
If you're lucky like me, the Vita-Mix blender blends this in about 5 seconds!
